Changing Lives Foundation

Testimonials

“I want to encourage everyone to sign up for this mailing list. I am the pickiest person I know about getting bombarded with emails, and Changing Lives Foundation will not overload your email box! The newsletters have helpful, easy to read articles that are amazingly timely. You will learn something new from each one!”
~Julie Jordan-Wade

Reading the stories from the newsletters helped me to understand that I was not losing my mind.  They let me have more patience and understanding about our situation, helped me realize that I was not always wrong (as I was told I was), and even helped me be more firm with my decisions when I finally decided that I was not going to deal with this any longer.  Please continue your work as I'm sure you've helped, and will continue to help, many people in similar situations.

FYI, my husband switched from Oxycontin and hydrocodone (among other things) to Suboxone as part of his recovery.  He continued to drink.  From my point of view, the cure was worse than the opiates were.  Although I ended up getting a divorce and a domestic violence restraining order against him, I know there's a nice man in there somewhere.  Because of the understanding I gained by reading your newsletters, I don't hate him and hope that he will someday acknowledge to himself that he turned down the wrong road and will then take steps to get back on the right path, without me.

Thanks again for publishing your helpful words.

~ Shannan S.
